UWC President Pavlo Grod Visits Chicago

On May 19, the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art hosted Pavlo Grod, president of Ukrainian World Congress and Andriy Futey, president of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America. Mr. Grod presented
"Supporting Ukraine in the Darkest Hour" where he outlined how UWC from the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, focused on military, economic and political support for Ukraine as well supported refugees around the world. An interesting question answer session followed.
On behalf of UCCA President Mariya Dmytriv received a candleholder from UWC which contained reconstituted artillery shells and shattered window glass, from an attack in Donetsk. The candleholder is adorned with a willow branch symbolizing hope for an end to war.
