On the invitation from Frank J. Spula, President of the Polish National Alliance of the U.S. of N.A., President of UCCA-IL Division attended the commemoration of the 230th Anniversary of the Polish-Lithuanian Common State May 3, 1791 Constitution. The Wreath Laying Ceremony was held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Monument located at Solidarity Dr. and Lake Shore Dr. in Chicago.
On Monday, May 3, 2021, the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the Polish Constitution of 1791 was celebrated with the flag raising ceremony on Daley Plaza. The national flags of Poland and Latvia were raised. The Ukrainian community was represented by Consul General of Ukraine in Chicago Serhiy Koledov and UCCA-IL board member Natalia Onysko. The Polish, Baltic and Ukrainian communities support one another, celebrate significant events, and demonstrate solidarity on important issues.The Polish and Baltic communities actively supported Ukrainians during the Revolution of Dignity.
Сьогодні, в понеділок 3-го травня, відбулося урочисте підняття державних прапорів Польщі та Лaтвії в центрі міста Чикаго на Дейлі Плаза. Урочистості були присвячені 230 - ій річниці ухвалення Конституції Польщі. Від української громади були присутні Генеральний Консул України в Чикаго Сергій Коледов та членкиня управи УККА-ІЛ Наталя Онисько. Варто зазначити, що польська та бальтійські громади активно підтримували українців під час Революції Гідності і ми продовжуємо разом відзначати важливі події та демонструвати нашу солідарність у важливих питаннях.
