The Ukrainian community in Chicago stands firm in its support of Ukraine and calls upon the United States, Europe and the freedom-loving countries of the world to oppose violent Russian aggression in Donbas and Crimea, and to remove its military force from the borders of Ukraine. The intimidation and invasion of Ukrainian territory is a blatant violation of international laws that killed over 14,000 people in Ukraine and cannot be accepted by the world community. Putin's violent dictatorship against his own people and the people of Ukraine is causing a threat to the entire Western world with his selective killings of opposition leaders sending a signal of fear to others, he is using cyber and information warfare to destabilize other countries. He must be stopped!
We appeal to the United States and President Biden not to acquiesce to Putin's demands and to establish a new platform for peace negotiations that will include the United States and Ukraine. The rally was attended by representatives of Ukrainian Congress Committee of America Illinois Division, the community organization Orange Wave, Selfreliance Association and ODFFU.

Українська громада закликає США, Європу та всі інші демократичні країни рішуче виступити проти російської агресії на Донбасі та в Криму та змусити Росію відвести свої війська від українських кордонів та з території Криму.
Територіальна цілісність України має стати одним з пріоритетів міжнародної політики, а дії Росії – отримати гідну міжнародну відсіч. Росія має негайно припинити агресію в Україні та біля її кордонів.
В наслідок війни, яку розпочала Росія в Україні, загинуло близько 14 тисяч українців. Диктатура Путіна, його злочинна діяльність проти власного народу та народу України, створює загрозу для всього західного світу і має бути зупинена якнайшвидше!
Ми закликаємо президента США Джо Байдена не поступатися вимогам Путіна, а також створити нову платформу для переговорів, яка включатиме США та Україну.
