Remembering the Holodomor. Refusing to Repeat History
On November 23, 2025, we paused to commemorate the Holodomor — one of the greatest crimes of the 20th century. A deliberate famine imposed on the Ukrainian people under Russian occupation, a wound carried through generations, a tragedy that must never be forgotten.
But even as we mourned, we were faced with a painful and urgent reality: the world is once again being asked to look away.
The so-called "peace plan" being discussed would force Ukrainians to accept the occupation of nearly 20% of their homeland — territory where torture, killing, rape, and the systematic destruction of Ukrainian identity are happening right now. Stalin, the dictator responsible for the Holodomor, is openly glorified by Putin's regime — a regime that is attempting to repeat those very same crimes today.
History is not a distant warning. It is repeating itself in real time.
We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the American people, Congressman Mike Quigley, and our incredible allies — our Baltic, Polish, Syrian, and Jewish friends who have stood with us, marched with us, and understood our struggle. Your solidarity means everything.
But we need more voices. YOUR voice.
Call the White House.
Call your representatives.
Advocate for a just peace — one that does not sacrifice people or legitimize brutality.
Honoring the victims of the Holodomor means refusing to allow their suffering to be repeated. It is our moral responsibility — to them, and to every Ukrainian living under occupation today.
